Rossen Law Firm Steps into the World of Youth Poetry at LTABFLA
At Rossen Law Firm, we’re no strangers to the courtroom, but recently, we found ourselves somewhere entirely new: a poetry slam stage. Adam Rossen and Laura Viñalet Brown had the incredible honor of serving as guest judges for this year’s Louder Than a Bomb Florida Poetry Slam (LTABFLA), a youth poetry competition that left us absolutely speechless.
We’ve never done anything like this before and are so glad we said yes. The students who participated blew us away with their raw honesty, powerful performances, and fearless vulnerability. Some pieces made us laugh, others brought tears, but all of them reminded us how important it is to give young people a platform to speak their truth.
Congratulations to Dreyfus School of the Arts for taking home this year’s title. You were phenomenal! But in our eyes, every poet who took the stage was a winner. Their courage and creativity were inspiring to witness.
