Hello! My name is Marci Cava, and I’m proud to be the go-to Private Investigator for Rossen Law Firm and the founder of Down Low Investigations. My work is rooted in one core belief: the truth matters. Whether I’m re-investigating a crime scene, uncovering inconsistencies in a police report, or tracking down a key witness, I do it all with one goal in mind—making sure our clients have the best defense possible.
My journey started in law enforcement, where I spent over six years as a police officer handling serious cases like DUIs, sex crimes, narcotics investigations, and RICO cases. I worked closely with agencies like the DEA and FBI and led countless surveillance operations, tactical deployments, and felony arrests. But over time, I realized something important: not every case is what it seems, and sometimes, the system gets it wrong. That realization fueled my transition to private investigations.
I founded Down Low Investigations to take everything I learned on the front lines of policing and use it to help the other side—the accused. I wanted to give defense attorneys the same level of insight, strategy, and support that prosecutors and police departments have access to. Now, I work side-by-side with the team at Rossen Law Firm to uncover critical details that can make or break a case.
Whether I’m conducting surveillance at 3 a.m., analyzing hours of body cam footage, or locating a witness no one else could find, I bring tenacity and precision to every case. I’ve conducted more than 10,000 hours of surveillance and helped support countless successful outcomes for clients who needed someone in their corner.
I’ve always been someone who pays attention to details, trusts my instincts, and stays calm under pressure - skills that've proven invaluable in this line of work. I know how to blend in, ask the right questions, and uncover the information others might miss. My job isn’t just about investigation; it’s about protecting people’s futures.
When I’m not working on a case, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our kids, traveling, playing tennis or pickleball, and occasionally sneaking in a game of poker. But make no mistake—I’m always thinking a few moves ahead.
