Sean Ford Esq.

Sean Ford, Esq., is a highly experienced criminal defense attorney at Rossen Law Firm, bringing over a decade of frontline courtroom experience to complex felony, sex crime, violent offense, and other high-stakes cases. His career began as an Assistant Public Defender in Broward County. He then served as lead counsel on serious felonies, including homicides, at the Office of Criminal Conflict & Civil Regional Counsel before establishing his own successful litigation practice. Known for his meticulous investigation, calm command in crisis, and a team-first, ego-free approach, Sean excels in motion practice, negotiation, and trial. He specializes in developing clean, credible narratives that humanize clients and effectively expose weaknesses in the state’s case.

Who I Am

I’m a trial lawyer, a strategist, and a teammate you can count on when it’s loudest and most chaotic. Courtrooms feel like home to me: jury selection, motion practice, cross-examining officers, or standing up at first appearance on a breaking, media-heavy case. I listen first, pressure-test everything, and build a clean, credible narrative that makes decision-makers see the person behind the charge.

I like being shoulder-to-shoulder with my team. I thrive in the office, collaborating with other lawyers and case managers, because the best defense is built together. I don’t do ego. If a colleague is better suited for a closing or a particular cross, they take it. We, staff cases with multiple lawyers because that’s how you catch every angle and protect a client’s future.

My recent marriage has given me a renewed sense of purpose, focusing on meaningful work alongside an excellent team. Even on weekends, I find satisfaction in preparing a case because I want our clients to feel the impact of our thorough preparation on Monday. I'm also a proud Ravenclaw.

Why I Do This Work

Criminal defense is where the law still moves fast and where advocacy changes lives in real time. After years in public defense and conflict counsel, I’ve seen how easily people get reduced to a headline or a single moment. My job is to slow that down: investigate harder than the state, expose weak links, and humanize what the paperwork flattens.

I briefly stepped into civil litigation and ran my own practice, but I missed the courtroom, the urgency, and the purpose. At Rossen Law Firm, I’m surrounded by a team that prepares from day one and fights with discipline, creativity, and respect. That’s where I do my best work.
