His presentation, "AI That Actually Works for DUI Lawyers: Practical Tools You Can Use in Your Practice Today," deliberately avoided the usual futurism. Instead of predicting where legal technology might go, Rossen walked attendees through tools they could open on Monday morning.
"DUI defense is one of the most technical areas of criminal law," said Rossen. DUI cases turn on dense, technical evidence. Including breath-test logs, maintenance records, body-cam footage, NHTSA field-sobriety protocols, toxicology reports, and hours of deposition testimony. Rossen's session showed how attorneys can use AI to move through that material faster and with sharper focus, without surrendering the human judgment that defense work demands.

Experts on DUI 2026, On the Road Again: Steering Through Florida DUI Law, was a comprehensive two-day seminar for criminal defense attorneys, prosecutors, and other lawyers who handle DUI matters in Florida. Presented through the Criminal Law Section of The Florida Bar (Course No. 9555), the program was approved for 14 CLE credits. Including 1 Ethics credit and 1 Technology credit, as well as 14 certification credits each in Criminal Appellate Law, Criminal Trial Law, and Juvenile Law.
The faculty drew attorneys and forensic professionals from across Florida and the country. Sessions addressed Florida DUI case-law updates, boating under the influence, toxicology and lab reports, breath-testing technology, traffic stops, accident reconstruction, FLHSMV hearings, pretrial strategy, appellate preservation, jury selection, and cross-examination of DUI officers using NHTSA manuals.
